Arcata Tuxedo has been a local family owned and operated business in Humboldt County for over 25 years. 

Our Story

Our family started the business back in 1991. We are a women owned business going on three generations. Carla Reitz and daughter Chrissy Ross saw a need for tuxedo rentals in Arcata and the Jacoby's Storehouse was the perfect location to start their business. Chrissy was a florist and loved the wedding industry and with the help of her mother Carla the two started a business that allowed Chrissy to raise her daughter. 

Now 30 years later, Stephanie Pfeifer, Chrissy's daugther and Carla's granddaughter has taken over the business.  Stephanie graduated from Humboldt state with a bachelors in Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing.  She has been working in the store since 2009 and is eager to follow in her mother and grandmother's footsteps and is looking forward to growing the business. Stephanie loves our community and loves working in the wedding industry. She is proud to be able to continue in her family’s footsteps and keep the business running after such a trying few years.
