When do we shop for Formal Men's Wear?
After you have decided on the color scheme for your wedding. It's important to choose the "right" color and style of formal wear and accessories to best compliment the bridesmaid's dresses. Arcata Tuxedo is a full service formal wear store open Monday- Friday 10am to 4pm and after hours by appointment.
What do we do after selecting the style of formal wear?
That's easy, simply register your wedding at Arcata Tuxedo by phone or in person and inform your attendants of your plans. They can visit us at their convenience. We will need to have their measurements at least two weeks prior to the wedding day.
What about attendants coming from out of town?
Have them go get measured at the nearest formal wear store in their area. All professional formal wear businesses provide FREE fittings for out of town weddings. Once your attendants are fitted, they can phone in their measurements or submit them on our website. It's that simple!
When is payment due?
The total balance is due on the day of pick-up. We do not require a deposit however we do require a credit or debit card to be on file. The formal wear is usually paid by each attendant and not the groom, although in some cases the groom may choose to pay for them all.
When is the formal wear available for pick up?
Pick-up day is usually Thursday at Arcata Tuxedo. We like to have each person pick up and try on their tuxedos to assure the best fit. If we need to do any alterations it gives us two full days to make sure the fit is perfect.
Prom Questions:
Does my child need an adult when coming in to pick out their outfit?
No, we understand that as a parent of a high school student life and managing schedules can be difficult. Students are able to come in with or without their parents.
What does my child need when they come in?
For initial appointments all we need is a $40 deposit and that goes towards the final rental price and is not in addition to.
Are there any specials?
For all school events, Arcata Tuxedo offers a school special where we take $20 off any rental! Contact us for more information!
